During my recent week off we made our annual tour of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Here are some photos of the event:
I don’t know if the little Brahman guy won anything but he is likely to be “invited” for dinner soon.
Sharp looking pink Camaro pace car
That is Theresa in the upper left hand corner trying to think of a scheme to get Daddy to buy it for her.
Cheesy cowboy stuff….
…and some cheesy Christian stuff.
This western getup isn’t cheesy at all. It is made from some nice wool material and a bargain at $295!
Going back outside we look at Reliant Stadium viewed from the Astrodome. It is named after one of the local electricity providers.
The Astrodome viewed from Reliant Stadium. When the Astrodome opened in 1965 it was the world’s largest indoor ballpark. When it closed it was the worlds smallest indoor ballpark.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is a lot like a state fair, complete with a midway with rides and outlandish food offerings.
Can I have mine with a little melted cheese?
Of course, no rodeo or state fair can be complete without The Moscow Circus!
That is all. Up next, Galveston Pleasure Pier.
