We haven’t been to Bear Creek Park since Theresa was about 6 years old. We stopped by this morning and took a look at the animals.
This is the prettiest bird in the complex. I think he is a macaw.
And a love bird:
Here is a barred owl.
These guys look like hawks and they are black so I will declare them, tadaaa, black hawks.
Of the 4 legged variety, here is a Vietnamese pot bellied pig. Some people around here keep them as pets.
They have a bison here but it was hot and he was hanging out under a shade tree about 100 yards from the fence. He was too far away and too dark to get a picture. As a consolation prize, here is a picture of the sign:
According to Apache lore, the Democratic Herd were not bison at all. They were jack asses.
