Mr. Snyder's Neighborhood

Well, it is that time of year again. Time it is for the Red River Shootout. I refuse to call it the now politically correct name of Red River Showdown. We have too many sissies is this world.

Them Horns are favored this year by about a touchdown. That is ok. The Sooners usually perform well when they are small underdogs. Actually, over the years they have done better as small underdogs than small favorites. The Sooners going into a game as a small favorite is downright frightening.

The game airs at 11:00 Central on ABC. Keep the faith and BOOMER SOONER!

Well, ok fine. Yesterday our Sooners traipsed into Fort Worth and dropped a large turd, losing to TCU by a score of 55-24. It could have just as easily been 75-24. As the season goes along, we will see if the problem is talent or coaching (or of course, both).

Meanwhile back east, RPI scores an impressive win over Rochester.

Today our Sooners go visit the TCU Horny Toads. It looks to me like this game is a tossup. I hope Blessed Brent can get our Defense fired up. The game is at 11:00 on ABC.

RPI visits The University of Rochester at 1:00. The Engineers need to find a way to score some points.
