Sooner baseball continues in the CWS. Yesterday they advanced to the final bracket with a 5-1 win over the Texas Aggies. The Sooners have owned the Aggies in both softball and baseball this season. Our Sooners will play the winner of today’s Ol’ Miss-Arkansas elimination game on Saturday. Boomer Sooner!
I know that in an earlier post I wrote that I was finished writing about Uvalde. After watching recent video footage, I am compelled to write one more time. Law enforcement was equipped to go after the shooter in just a few short minutes. The doors in the school were by no means fortified and even if locked would have been a piece of cake to bust open. This was a sick failure of the local law enforcement.
Uvalde placed the chief on leave. He needs to be fired and possibly prosecuted. That is it.
Afghanistan is just a tough place to live for many reasons.
I am not in favor or suspending the gasoline tax. The oil/marketing companies will merely fill in the gap to match market demand. The loss of the tax revenue will hurt us in the longer run. Remember that we have plenty of things to pay for with our tax money.
