It was a good Saturday for my fave football teams.

The Sooners and Nebraska used to have a very relevant rivalry in College Football. Not so anymore. In the mid 90’s after the tenure of that coach Sooner fans never talk about, the team fell into the depths of oblivion. Dreams of beating Texas and Nebraska were replaced with dreams of beating North Texas and a 0.500 season.

It wasn’t too many years later that the Big 8 Conference disintegrated and formed the Big 12 with remnants of the Southwest Conference. That was about it for the rivalry. But it is still fun to see the Sooners beat up on them.

Meanwhile, well really, a few hours later, the RPI Engineers hosted Worchester Poly in the annual pillow fight for an old surveyor’s instrument.

Worchester is usually not very good and this year they did not disappoint.

That contraption was likely built just down the hill from RPI.
